This cafe has been around for some years in Penang now.
Although there are no fancy brunch menus, the cafe do serve up some of the simplest, straightforward brunch items, perfectly cooked.
Huey & Wah Cafe
We usually visit during breakfast for the “Power House” which comes with a bed of cut toasts and perfectly cooked half boiled eggs on top.
This is not your typical half boiled eggs with toasted breads.
The Power House comes topped with roasted almonds, tomatoes and herbs which further enhance the flavor and textures. It is usually a clean plate when we are done.
Not a fan of runny eggs? The cafe do sometimes serve beef or chicken stews (which has options to go with rice or slices of bread).
Or if you like grilled cheese, don’t miss out on their grilled cheese sandwiches which comes with a variety of filling.
And of course, while you’re here; it is worth checking out their marshmallow beverages like for example: a cup of kopi-o or hot cocoa with cubes of marshmallow. You also get to buy the individual marshmallows!
For those who doesn’t feel like having sweet things, there are decent coffees on their menu.
