Bak Kut Teh is no stranger to most Chinese eaters, whether you're from Malaysia or Singapore; just as long as you eat pork and like soupy meals.
This is a traditional pork based broth, cooked with pork bones, meats, and Chinese herbs for hours to extract its intense sweet flavors.
The dish is filled with a generous mix of pork innards, meats, fried beancurd sheets, meatballs, soaking in that bowl of piping hot soup we mentioned above.
The broth is recommended to go with a plate of "you tiao" (Chinese deep-fried dough), to soak up all the goodness.
And you definitely want to order the yam rice on top of "you tiao".
It's so aromatic you can probably finish two bowls of them when you're hungry.
The blanched glass lettuce is covered with generous amount of meat floss and fried pork lards. It is so crunchy, flavorful, and addictive!
Lao Fu Zi is also operating at Paya Terubong during the dinner hours.
