Bowls of green looking pandan-flavored worm-jelly with red kidney beans floating on a bed of coconut milk and shaved ice are being freshly assembled as the crowds came to queue up for orders continuously on daily basis.

A quick stir before indulging into this bowl of goodness will ensure all the ingredients are properly mixed with the sweetness of gula Melaka (palm sugar). While every spoonful of it will bring you the much needed refreshing remedy to the blistering heat of Georgetown.

Stand-eating by the roadside used to be the authentic way to enjoy the famous Teow Chew Chendol when it first began.

Luckily for us now, there are also shoplots with air-conditioner provided if you prefer to sit down and enjoy in the cool.
